That’s why, throughout January and February, our team is hitting the road to partner with local trade schools, including Tristar, Tolles, Upper Valley Career Center, and Apollo Career Centers. These collaborations aim to provide invaluable training and hands-on experience to students preparing for careers in the trades.

Making an Impact Through Education
As part of this initiative, Cotterman & Company Inc. is donating roofing materials and dedicating time to train students in the intricacies of low-slope roofing systems. Under the guidance of our experienced team members, students will:

• Install Roofing Materials: Using mock roof platforms within their construction classrooms, students will gain practical experience applying TPO, PVC, and EPDM membranes.
• Work with Industry Equipment: Students will operate tools such as hand welders, Rhinobond machines, and various hand-held power tools, giving them a real-world understanding of the equipment used in the roofing industry.
• Learn Fabrication Techniques: Training also includes the fabrication and installation of edge metals, gutters, and downspouts, essential components of any roofing system.
